George Lester Sweat

George Lester Sweat, 53 years old, affectionately known as "PIP", transitioned on February 1, 2022. George was born on October 16, 1968, to Robbie Sweat and George Cook in Nashville, TN.  George grew up in Nashville, a town he loved and never left. After graduating from Maplewood High School, George did what he loved to do best and that was cook. He loved to watch the television chef shows to come up with cooking ideas. He worked as a cook most of his life. His favorite pastimes were cooking, dancing, and the Dallas Cowboys. He will be dearly missed and always remembered by his two children, Chanquilla Sweat and Desmond Sherrell.  George was predeceased by his mother, Robbie Sweat and sisters, Lukethia Sweat and Clarisse Sweat. He is survived by his father, George Lester Cook, Sr. (Bertha Renee Cook), sister, Neconya Sweat, and a host of aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and friends.   Join us in celebrating the life of George Sweat at Terrell Broady Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
