Garey Lyons

Mr. Garey Thomas Lyons was born Febuary 3,1956 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of John Lyons and Lillian Ewing. He departed his life Monday July 4, 2022 in Nashville Tennessee.

Garey was educated in Nashville Davidson County Public Schools. He was employed with Metro for 41+ years (retired April 15, 2022)

Garey enjoyed sharing meetings at AA, fishing, gardening, landscaping spending quality time with his grand and great grandchildren. Back in the day Garey was known for his Camel-Walk dance.

He was preceded in death by parents John Thomas Lyons and Lillian Ewing. Siblings, Doris Jean Benson, Carloyn Roper and Patricia Bluing.

Survived by very devoted wife Patrice Lyons, very devoted children, Antonio Lyons, Semetra Johnson, Otis Gordon and Cheressa Miller. Sisters, Janice (Paul) Sloss, Barbara Lockridge and Pamela Lyons, Brothers, Raymond Ewing, James Lyons and John Scales. Fourteen great grandchildren, numerous devoted nieces and nephews. Two very devoted sisters-in-law, Deborah Burns and Brenda Campbell. Very devoted friends Prentice Hyler, Amber Pryor, Edward Benson, Jay Sanchez, AA Members and Work Family. Visitation Saturday, July 9, 2022, 3:00-4:00 with funeral to follow at funeral home.
