Ephriam "Mike" Grigsby

Ephriam Michael Grigsby was born October 2, 1949, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the 3rd of five born to Joseph and Lula Grigsby. He departed this life on December 17, 2024.

“Mike” was educated in the Metro Public Schools and graduated. After graduation he served his country in two branches of the Military. The Marines and the Army. For a combination of 17 years and was honorably discharged from both branches.

He was baptized at the Church of Christ at Jackson Street. He attended services for years until his illness kept him from attending in person.

Mike was married later in life to the love of his life Deborah J. Parrish and to this union he gained a daughter Lisa Pennington.

He enjoyed living life to the fullest. He enjoyed spoiling kids and elderly people. He also enjoyed fishing and playing cards. Mike was a sharp dressed man with a big heart and bright smile.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Joseph and Lula Grigsby. His brothers, Gayland B. Grigsby and Wallace B. Grigsby, Sr., and beloved cousin, Wilhelmina Birdine Morton.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Deborah J. Parrish-Grigsby, his daughter, Lisa (Frank) Pennington, of Nashville, Tn., brothers, Paul J. Grigsby of Nashville, Tn. and William (Dorothy) Grigsby of Louisville, Ky., two grandchildren, Mario M. Pennington and Destiny J. Pennington of Nashville, Tn. two great-grandchildren, Leah L. Cox and Layla S. Cox, and a host of nieces and nephews, step-sisters, Linda Harlan and Evelyn Campbell, brothers-in-law, William Parrish, Eddie (Mildred) Parrish, and Carl (Addie) Parrish, sisters-in-law, Evelyn (Darrow) Pillar, Michelle (Walter) Clark, and Kim Maupin, devoted friend, Kenneth Keeling.
