Elise Dean Smith

Elsie D. Smith was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 26, 1935 to Robert Smith and Carrie Geneva Smith. She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on January 21, 2022.

Elsie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Trinity A.M.E. Church.

Elsie attended Metro Public Schools in Davidson County Nashville, Tennessee, and she graduated from Pearl High School.

Elsie was a devoted housekeeper for many years for Mike and Susan Gorney and Family until she retired. She loved cooking, fashion, collecting all sorts of figurines, meeting people and talking on the phone, and most of all loved her family and friends.

Elsie was preceded in death by her mother Carrie Geneva Smith, father Robert Smith, son Derrick M. Smith, sisters Willie Mae King, Katherine Kinnard, Charlene Gwynn, and uncle Robert Smith.

She leaves to cherish his memories sister Annie Taft, devoted nephew-brother-son Charles (Barbara) Smith, devoted friends-second family Mike, Susan, Anna, and Rush Gorney. And a host of relatives and friends. Special thanks to Mrs. Ann.  Memorial Service Tuesday, February 8, 2022, 6:00 pm at FH.
