Edward Day, the 5th of 13 children, was born on April 5th, 1953, in Brownsville, TN to parents Turner Day and Bertha (Gray) Day. Edward, known as “Ed”, grew up in the Haywood County, TN area. He was educated at West Senior High School. Edward moved from West TN to Nashville, TN in the early 1970s where he met and married Ethel (Gibson) Day on November 16, 1972. He was a member of Goodnews Fellowship Non-denominational Church. Edward was also a die-hard Cincinnati Bengals fan.
Edward is proceeded in death by parents Turner Day and Bertha (Gray) Day, and sisters Willette Howard and Ada Allen, paternal grandparents Clarence and Katherine Day; maternal grandparents, Lonnie Gray and Ada “Big Mama” Allen; Parents Turner Anthony Day and Bertha Lee (Gray) Day, and sisters Willette Howard and Ada Allen.
Edward leaves to cherish his memory- wife Ethel Day, 3 children: Pamela (Juan) Campbell of Madison, TN, Edward (Patresa) Day II of Clinton, MD, and April (Anton Hines) Day of Hendersonville, TN, 9 grandchildren: Armesha (Douglas) Allen, Brionna (Deon) Rodgers, Zion Jackson, Heaven Day, Destiny Day, Chloe Campbell, Edward Day III, Cree Day, and Anton Hines, Jr., 2 great-grandchildren: Charlie Fox and Judah Allen, siblings: Earnestine Bowman, Geneva Hall, Turner Lee Day, Carolyn Hill, Clarence (Dora) Day, Betty (Paul) Lacy, Ezekiel (Linda) Day, Marvin Day, Connie (David) Taylor, and Philip (Yolanda) Day, and a host of nieces and nephews.
