Earnestine Marie Guthrie-Jones

Earnestine Marie Guthrie Foster Jones was born on December 2, 1941 to Mary Louise Guthrie and Earnest Peoples in Antioch, TN. She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life with the Lord on Sunday January 9, 2022. Earnestine accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and served on the Usher Board. As time went on she united with Galilee Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. William R. Harris, Sr. where she served on the Mother Board. She was educated in the Davidson County School System, and attended Healthcare Training Institute to become a nursing assistant. Earnestine was a loving woman that enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She volunteered for many years at Hattie Cotton Elementary School and with Youth About Business. Her favorite team was the Titans and she loved the colors pink and blue. Earnestine was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kimberly Foster, grandchildren; MeKeia Foster, Reggie Williams-Foster, Da'Shawn Foster, siblings; Cindy Guthrie, George Guthrie, Leroy Guthrie, Lorine Owens, Oweda Covington and Willie Guthrie. Earnestine leaves to celebrate and honor her memory, husband Jesse Jones; loving children, Sherry Foster, Sherron Wilson and James Foster; grandchildren, Meyian Carter, TeQuita Jordan, Mario Foster, Roger Hayes and Margaret and Joshua Foster; sisters, Vesta Dalton, Dorothy Owens; sister-in-laws Mattie (Bobby) Mason, Sadie (Charles) Ward; devoted friend, Linda Jackson, and a host of other relatives and friends.Survived by loving family.
