Renowned educator, philanthropist and family man who made numerous contributions during his decades of service. Dr. Cornell D. Lane born May 28, 1939 passed October 8, 2021 in Nashville, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents William Shelton Lane, Sr. and Thelma S. Lane; beloved wife Hattie Ruth (Boleyjack) Lane; his brother William Shelton Lane Jr; sisters Iva Pearl (Lane) Sawyer and Marva Jo (Lane) Brook. Left to cherish his memory: his daughters: Monique M. (Jonathan) Brasfield (Shreveport, LA) and Angela R. Lane (Nashville, TN); brothers: Malchus L. Lane (Hendersonville, TN) and Tony V. Lane (Antioch, TN); devoted nephew, Malchus Lane Jr. (Nashville, TN); grandchildren: Jennifer G. Brasfield and Jonathan P. Brasfield (Shreveport, LA), goddaughter Carolyn E.
