D’Quan Cortez Whittmore was born on April 23, 1984. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, December 28, 2024. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lillie and Lincoln Southall, Jr., and his best friend Sam Timberlake.
D’Quan was a big playful teddy bear with an infectious laugh. He loved gaming and bowling and was a die-hard Titans fan. D’Quan was employed with Amazon and Uber. D’Quan was united in holy matrimony to Shatroya Primm on March 19, 2022.
D’Quan was a 2002 graduate of Nashville Academy. He dedicated his life to Christ and joined Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church on May 25, 2008. “Quan”, as he was affectionately known, had a big personality and always had a warm hug and loving words for friends and family whenever you saw him. He never hesitated to boldly greet you with the words, “Cuz” or “Family” loudly and proudly whenever or wherever you encountered him.
D’Quan leaves to cherish his memory, wife Shatroya Whittmore, children, Taonya Bond, Ke’Mari Whittmore, D’Quan Whittmore, Jr., Kali Whittmore and Kortez Whittmore; stepchildren, Alana and Timothy Primm; mother Alexis Cosey; father, Herbert (Karen) Whittmore, Jr.; step-father, Greg Cosey, sister, Shawnyce Cosey; grandparents, Dorothy Whittmore and Herbert Whittmore, Sr.; aunts, Michelle Southall-Hudson and Sheteka (Leonard) Smith; devoted cousins, Justin Hudson, Charity, and Shiloh Smith; devoted friends Robert Hicks, Jr., Jonathan Petway, Victor Summers, Jr., Ray Goodbar, Keenan Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
