Dorothy "Bea" Palmer

Ms. Dorothy Beatrice Palmer affectionately called “Bea” was born on June 29, 1961 to Charles William Palmer and Sarah Ann Palmer in Nashville, Tennessee. She was called to her final resting place peacefully, early Thursday morning of July 11, 2024. Dorothy accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at an early age.

Dorothy received her formal education in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School System. She graduated from Stratford High School and attended training for healthcare. Dorothy was employed at Service Merchandise for many years. She also worked at Crestview Health Care Facility as a Certified Nurse Assistant.

Dorothy was a very devoted and loving mother, sister and friend. She enjoyed watching television, communicating on the telephone, dancing, shopping, traveling, getting her nails done, and mostly doing anything her oldest son Michael wanted to do. She loved family gatherings, the more she got together with family the merrier it was.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Ann Palmer and Charles William Palmer; grandmother, Izora Baker; grandson, Ronques “man man” Bigsby; sister, Beverly Ann Palmer Lowe; brothers, Gary Wayne Palmer, Tyrone Maurice Palmer; three nephews and a very devoted friend, Michael McCullough.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her devoted children Michael, Breshawn, and Xavier Palmer; brothers Charles (Ruby) Palmer, Jr, David Lee Palmer, Sidney (Alysia) Palmer; sisters Izora Palmer, Louvenia (Lee) King; grandchildren Keirra Goss, Michael Palmer, Jr., Ashley, Megan, Kalah, and Fountain Mallard, Rayshawn Dalton, Treshawn Wiggins, Paris Jones; great grandchildren Kaiden, Kendall Peoples, Kamron Young, Kingston, Kason Newsome, Kalson Barbee, Keyara Hockett; a host of nieces, nephews; special cousins Florence Hayes and the Webster Family; very devoted caregiver, Ms. Tomeka Peebles; close friends, Barbara Palmer and Cassandra Garrett.
