Dora Ann Jackson-Roberson

Dora Ann Jackson Roberson was born on July 6, 1931 in Columbus, Georgia to the union of Fannie and Willie Jackson, Sr. She departed this earthly life on Monday, March 27, 2023 at MeSun Health Services in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Dora accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mays Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Dora graduated from Spencer High School in Columbus, Ga in 1953.

Dora was married twice in her lifetime to Willie Fluellen (divorced), and Herschell Roberson, Sr. (divorced).

Dora worked for Metro Government of Nashville’s Bordeaux Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide and as a Security Guard for General Hospital July 1963 to September 1995 before retiring. 

Dora enjoyed decorating for Mays Chapel, sewing, ceramics, cooking and gardening.

She leaves to cherish her memory children, Luretia (David) Carson GA, Wendell Karl Fluellen, Herschell Roberson Jr., Latisha Thompson; grandchildren, Brittany Carson, David Carson Jr., Darren Fluellen, Jason Fluellen, Tyrone Fluellen, Japeth Thompson, Ricky Thompson;  great grandchildren, Jayson Marcello Raul Fluellen, Jayzala Yvonne Fluellen, Jayden Prince Fluellen;  great-great-granddaughter, Eleae Fluellen, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
