On January 25, 1952, Alice & Newt Cannon Jr. welcomed Deborah Elaine Cannon into the world.
Deborah graduated from Maplewood High School and Tennessee State University. There, she
graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. All while furthering her education, she
married Walter Howse and from this union their son Troy Dewayne Howse was born.
Deborah was employed at Service Merchandise for 14 years, where she was a buyer. She later
took her talents to Old Time Pottery where she worked for 5 years. In her spare time,
Deborah enjoyed watching sports, arts & crafts, and reading. She loved a good fashion or
interior design magazine.
Deborah was a member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as Church
Treasurer and several other committees.
Deborah was proceeded in death by her two brothers, her father Newt Cannon Jr., her
maternal & paternal grandparents, and three uncles.
Deborah will be missed by all that loved her. She leaves behind her son, Troy D. Howse;
Mother, Alice G. Cannon; sisters, Adrienne Cannon-Boyd and Shonitta Frey; brothers
Darryle (Rosalyn) Cannon and Baron (Regenia) Cannon, three nephews, three nieces, and one
very devoted niece that she helped raise Kayla (Reginald) Blair-Gentry, one great niece,
two great nephews, and a host of cousins and other relatives. Devoted friends Shervie
Rolland, Patrice Clark, Beverly French, Sammie Walker, Rev. Charles Dean, and many more.
