Corrine Louise Williams was born August 15, 1939 to the late James Robert Johnson Sr. and Lucille Gurly. She transitioned on Thursday July 1, 2021. She preceded by her parents; James Robert Johnson Sr. and Lucille Gurly, husband; Doss Richard Williams, sister; Annie Harris, brothers; Thomas Johnson “Speedy”, Charles Cartwright “Sonny boy”, James Robert Smith “Scutty”, Sons; Tyrone Johnson, Anthony Taylor-Johnson, Daron Williams, Granddaughter; Anishia Burden. Corrine worked at Howard Johnson for many years. She also worked at Hampton Inn. She enjoyed listening to Gospel Music, her favorite song was walk with me Lord. She loved her family. She loved cooking, She always took her children and grandchildren to church. Corrine attended Metro Public Schools. She was baptized and accepted Christ at Ceder Grove M.B. Church, then moved her membership to Stoker Lane Church of God, under the leadership of Pastor John W. Batts, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughters; Octavia (Elder TC) Harris, Delores (Michael) Reffegee, Cornelia Wiseman, Cheryl Williams, Valencia (Shawn) Jenkins, Deborah Wilson, son; Mark (Wanda) Johnson, grandchildren; Oscar, Frederick, Lil’ Johnny, Danielle, Antonio, Albert, Christopher, Sherica Devon, Marcus, Quinton (Markeisa), Alicia, Dominic, Tiffany, Tyrone Jr., Andre, Tyresha, Terrell (LaSandra), Precious, 53 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Viewing Sunday, July 11, 2021, 2-4pm at funeral home. Visitation Monday, July 12, 2021, 5-6pm with funeral to follow at Stokers Lane Church of God 3101 Stokers Lane.
