Survived by wife, Erma Akins; children, Claudia Akins, Alean (Ernest) Biles, Andra, Ricky, Dwight, Donnie, Patrick; step-children, Tonja (Larry Spencer ), John Key; sister, Gertrude Culver of Smyrna, TN; 6 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a host of relatives & friends.
