Christie Laschaun Woodard was born to the late William Wilkins Jr. and Cheryl Woodard on September 29, 1976, in Nashville, Tennessee. She departed this life suddenly on Friday, June 23, 2023.
In addition to her Father, Sister, MeAmbi (Tweety) Sherrell, her Devoted Aunt, Ara Terrell, Uncles Tommy Wilkins, and Howard Dunn, nephews Zackery and Zaquan King, cousins Benjamin Jr, and Kim Greer preceded her in death.
Christie was educated with Metro Nashville Public Schools where she graduated from Maplewood High School with the class of 1995. Christie received her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University. Christie professed a faith in Christ at an early age. Her current membership was with Nancy Webb Kelly United Methodist Church.
Christie was employed with Bordeaux Foodland for over twenty years. Christie enjoyed reading, chilling after work at the kitchen table, listening to music, cooking, dancing, eating, and spending time with family.
Christie loved her son so much. Her entire world revolved around him! Christie was so overjoyed when he proposed and married Jordan. Christie was so excited to receive the news she was going to be a Grandmother.
Christie was the “Cool Auntie” to most of her nieces and nephews.
Christie was a great cook. She made the best turnip greens in town!
Christie never changed she was always the same. Christie had a servant heart. She touched many people with her caring spirit. She never met a stranger.
Thank you, Christie, for your role in taking care of Mama. You did a great job Sissy.
