Cherie Denise Carter was born January 8, 1961 in Nashville, Tennessee to the parents, George Carter, Jr. and JoAnn Thomas Carter. Cherie passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at her residence in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
She was a 1979 graduate of Joelton High School and attended Belmont University. Cherie accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was baptized at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee.
Cherie spent most of her working career as a caregiver at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tn and a long employment with Panera Bread in Murfreesboro, TN. She recently started her own business detailing cars in the Nashville and Murfreesboro areas.
In her spare time, she enjoyed watching sports. She loved the Tennessee Titans football team.
Cherie was preceded in death by her father, George Carter, Jr., her stepfather, William Turner, her aunts, Shirley Black, Shirley Norman, and Deborah Thomas, and niece, Maria Cherie Brown.
Those left to cherish her memories are mother, JoAnn Turner (Enterprise, AL), brother, George Carter III (Murfreesboro, TN), sisters, Angela Kerley (Enterprise, AL), Beverly Hart, and Patrica (Carlos) Black (Murfreesboro, TN), nieces, Kenisha (Charlie) Jones, Lacuana Carter, Sanetra Carter, Chandra Brown, Tasha Carter, nephews, Duan Hart, Brian Toran, Jr, Tyree Carter, and a host of other relatives and friends.
