Charles Hogan affectionate known as “Chas/Omar” was born on May 21, 1952 in Nashville Tennessee to the parents of Laura Jean Holden and Willie Charles Hogan. He entered peacefully into rest on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Health Center at Richland Place.
Charles was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public School
System graduating from the historic North High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force on August 2, 1971 to August 1, 1975.
Charles accepted Christ at an early age and united with Victory Missionary Baptist Church. He later married Jacquelyne Patton.
Charles was employed for many years with the Air Force and the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, tennis, going to the YMCA, hating the Tennessee Titans, and traveling with his family. He was a husband, father, brother, and friend. He will truly be missed.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Laura Jean Hogan, Willie Charles Hogan; sister, Cynthia Birdsong; and grandson, Cairo Hogan. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Jacquelyne Patton; son, Brandon (Ashley) Hogan; granddaughters, Shariya Jackson, Nori Hogan; grandson, Brandon Wesley Hogan; brothers, Joel Holden, Zonell, John, and Tommy Hogan; sisters, Wille Derry Wilson, Linda Hogan, Era Hogan; devoted nephew, Joel “JoJo” Hogan; devoted friends, Bill Jamieson, L. Woods; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
