Fred, the Lord heard our prayers to make you His. You answered the call and accepted Him as your Lord and Savior. We are comforted knowing we will see you again at the resurrection.
Mr. Carlton Frederick McClerking known to his friends as "Mac" was born on May 18, 1961 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. After a long illness, he transitioned on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Centennial Hospital into eternal life with our precious Lord.
He was educated in the Tennessee Public Schools. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers football and University of Michigan football fan. You want to have a high energy discussion say the Titans and Cowboys will beat the Steelers. He would say you must have fell on your head. They do not stand a chance against his Steelers. He loved westerns. As a child he read any books dealing with westerns and as an adult spent hours watching Gunsmoke, Rifleman, Big Valley, Virginian and etc.
He was preceded in death by his father James Matthew McClerking, Jr., brothers Anthony Clay McClerking and Keith Fitzgerald McClerking, grandparents James Matthew McClerking Sr. and Lola Hart McClerking, Elry Williams and Adell Cogdell Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Lola Williams McClerking and sister Bridget McClerking, niece Antionette McClerking; nephew Glenn Anthony Shepherd (mother Bridget); great nephews Cassius Roberts and Carter Roberts (mother Antionette); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Memorial service is at Terrell Broady Funeral Home, Nashville, TN October 28, 2023 at 1pm, and Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Cedar Grove, TN October 29, 2023 at 1pm.
