Carlos Orlando Cockrill Sr. was born on October 30, 1962 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Cleta Mae Cockrill and Johnny Eugene Cockrill. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Carlos was educated in the Metro Nashville Public School Systems, graduating from Maplewood High School. He was employed with Atlantic Aviation for 25 years, along with a host of other jobs and side hustles.
Carlos enjoyed watching Nascar racing, sports, traveling, helping others, and fixing different thing, especially cars and motorcycles. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew!!!
Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Cleta Cockrill, and brother, Anthony Cockrill.
He leaves to cherish his memories daughter, Angelica Cockrill, son, Carlos Cockrill Jr., grandchildren, Yaslen Cockrill, and Caden Cockrill, devoted life partner of 17 years, Nicole Huddleston, siblings, Johnny Cockrill jr., Jonathan Cockrill, Regina Cockrill, Johnnetta (George) Sawers, Okima Cockrill, uncles, James Buntin, Doyel Cockrill, aunts, Pearline Nelson, Zora (Kenneth) Bender, Donna (Robert) Matthews, Shearyl (Reginald) Sadler, 11 nephews, 7 nieces, 42 great nieces and nephews, devoted friends, George Sawyers and Mike McKissick, a host of cousins, other family, and friends.
