Carl Martin

Carl Wayne Martin was born on August 21, 1951 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Wess B. and Mary Frances Martin. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at his residence in Nashville, Tennessee.

Carl accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was educated in Davidson County Public School Systems, graduating from Pearl High School.

Carl was employed with Bridgestone for a number of years, until his retirement. He enjoyed basketball, collecting, and spending time with family and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Wess B. and Mary F. Martin, and brother, Westley B. Martin.

He leaves to cherish his memories son, Lamont (Asia) Mateen, siblings, Mary Rochelle Suggs, Catheleen Dianetta Martin, Leonard Wade Martin, Antionette Marie Hayes, grandchildren, Donzell, Demontarius, Tremontez, TreVonte, great grandchildren, Deondre, Jayceon, Tae’One Braylin, Taryn, Jade, Ja’Mir, JaQue, Raeylin, De’Moni, Mariah, Monae, Denim, Azaria, Ace, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
