Blessings Julien Shenae Baker-Bradford was born on April 26, 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee to Ms. Dedreanna Bradford. From infancy until her transition, Blessings’ mother, Prophetess Niechie Baker, protected and cultivated the unique anointing on her life, and Blessings blossomed!
Blessings’ love for God was obvious and undeniable. She was a worshipper and demonstrated her devotion to the things of God not just at church, but amongst family and friends. She was saved and sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. She obeyed the gospel and was baptized in Jesus’ name. Her spiritual gifting was evident: she operated in the gift of exhortation, often encouraging the downtrodden or afflicted, and like her mommy, Niechie, she prophesied! When Blessings would release a Word of Knowledge or Prophecy, oftentimes the hearers and receivers were moved to tears. God used her youth and her innocence to minister to others who might not have otherwise received.
Blessings was known for her sweet face and her precious SMILE. Even when she lost her two front teeth, her smile could light up a room! Even in difficult times, or hard circumstances, you could still count on a warm smile from Blessings. Some of her favorites – like the color red, and a seat at a drum set, would always provoke a smile! But much as she loved time at the drum set, she loved spending time with her immediate and extended family even more. Her time with her cousins and brothers was always filled with silly grins and contagious giggles.
Blessings is survived by her mother, Niechie Baker; brothers Desha Griffin and Marcus Griffin; Aunts Sharitta Baker, Hyshie Smith and Avis Hammond; Grandmother Emma Strozier, Grandfathers Joseph Strozier and Ronnie Hammond; God-Grandmother Clara Churchwell and God-Aunt Clarissa Kusi.
Also left to celebrate her memory are biological mother Dedreanna Bradford; Grandmother Angelique Bradford; Great Grandfather Ronald Bradford; Grandfathers Curtis Pittman and Perry McCall; brothers Jaquez Bradford, Dontrell Bradford, DeShawn Bradford, and JaDarius Bradford; Great Aunt Maricia Beach; Aunties Celeste Bradford and Sha’Nisa Bradford; Great uncles, and a host of cousins.
In the short span of just 12 years, little Miss Blessings was a blessing to all who knew her. She blossomed in the things of God with careful cultivation and love, and the sweet fragrance of her life will never be forgotten.
