Anneice L. Tisdale was born on October 31, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Dennis and Anne Louise Mallory. She was the only child of Dennis and Anne Louise, though both shared a deep love for their daughter despite their union ending in divorce. Anneice was the eldest of siblings from her parents' respective families.
Anneice married William C. Tisdale, though the relationship did not last, their union was blessed with four children.
Anneice received her education in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School system and went on to attend Trevecca Nazarene University. After several years as a homemaker, Anneice pursued a career as a Certified Nurse’s Technician, working for many years at Baptist Hospital. Following her time in healthcare, she worked alongside Father Charles Strobel, helping to establish the legacy of Loaves and Fishes, which later became Room in the Inn, an organization dedicated to serving the homeless.
Anneice was deeply committed to service and volunteering. She served as a Girl Scout Leader, Den Mother, and a member of the Holy Name Church Altar Society. She was also a lifelong member of the Ladies of Charity. Even after her employment with Room in the Inn, she continued to volunteer there and at Loaves and Fishes, always eager to lend a hand to those in need.
A lover of family and fun, Anneice cherished any opportunity to gather with her loved ones. She held her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren close to her heart. She was also a beloved sister, aunt, and friend.
Anneice had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She loved reading, golfing, traveling, playing cards, watching movies, and occasionally spending time at the casino. Music and dancing were a big part of her life, and she had a special fondness for artists like Marvin Gaye, Elvis Presley, and Al Green. Even as an amputee, Anneice never let anything stop her from dancing—whether with the aid of a walker or from her wheelchair, her spirit remained vibrant and full of life.
Anneice is survived by her children, Cheryl Tisdale, Reginald (Tammy) Tisdale (Indiana), and Yolanda (Algen) Albritten; her grandchildren, Jerome (Jasmine) Tisdale, Joshua Imasuen, Regina Tisdale (Georgia), Samantha Tisdale (Indiana), and Algen Albritten III (Florida); and her great-grandchildren, Taylana Tisdale, Aniyah Cassidy Tisdale, Jamiyah and DeAja Marshall, Algen Albritten IV (Florida), and Jerome Jr. and Lorenzo Tisdale.
She is also survived by her siblings: Keithly Mallory (Maryland), Rainelle Mallory Eubanks (Michigan), Teresa Waller (Texas), Stanley Robinson, Jesse (Winifred) Hinton (North Carolina) and Stephania Gooch. She was preceded in death by her Father Dennis Mallory, Mother Anne Louise Robinson, beloved daughter Travania Tisdale, as well as her siblings Donna Faye Nevils, Gwen Easly, Richard Dennis Mallory, Shirley Louise Mallory, Isaac Mallory, and Grace Anne Kimball.
Anneice leaves behind a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will continue to cherish her memory. She touched many lives, and her legacy of love, service, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
