Anita Louise Collier

Anita was the second daughter born on November 22, 1952 to Ms. Mintie Roberta Collier. Anita was one of 6 daughters. She departed this life Monday, March 6, 2023.

Anita attended Metro Public Schools. She was gainfully employed with Baird Ward Printing Company and she also worked at various other jobs, over the years until her health begin to decline.

Anita attended church with her grandmother Madea. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age, and she also raised her children in the knowledge of God, over the years.

“Nita” as she was called by many had an infectious laugh and a quick wit, she was a happy person and she had a good heart. Anita was a loving and caring mother to her four children, grandchildren, her sisters, and other family members. She will be truly missed!

Anita was preceded in death by her mother, Mintie R. Collier, grandmother, sister, Shirley, and granddaughter, Miesha “Mi-Mi”.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Darren (Renita), Lynette, Michael, Latonya (Tracy), grandchildren, Antwan, Jasmine (Darryl), Asya, Marcus (Danielle), Quentin, Dashae (Mario), Rheji, Jamaica (Alvin), Roniqua, Ericha, Zeric, Latroy, Eric, twelve great-grandchildren, sister, Bettilyn, Sharon, Sheila, Jerrilyn, close friends, Walter (Barbara) Ridley, Gay Daniels, DS Thompson, Lois Grady, Barbara Martin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
