Andrew B. Greene

GREENE, Andrew B. Age 96. September 28, 2013. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army/Air Force where he traveled around the world. Among his many military experiences, was building the historic Road to Burma in the Himalayan Mountains. He respected God's Word & enjoyed learning about him. He was a long-time member of Corinthian Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee for many years. In 2011, he moved to Newnan, Georgia, where his thirst for Bible knowledge continued to grow. By his own choice, he attended the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. During the 2 short years that he lived in Georgia, true to his character, he touched many lives, and his friends were abundant. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Mrs. Sylvia J. Greene; sister, Pauline Robinson & daughter, Sylvia Janette Butts. He leaves to cherish his memories: Paulette Moore, Newnan, GA; granddaughters: Alicia N. Cox & Teresa (Calvin) Yokley, both of Nashville, Pamela (Kenneth) Starks, Bloomington, IL & LaRhonda (Derick) Penn, Columbus, OH; 7 great-grandchildren: Gerrard, Ashleigh, Alexis, Calvin, Kyle, Julian & Jaelyn; 2 great-great-grandchildren: Anijah & Albert; 1 niece, Pauletta Waller & 2 nephews, Andre & Hugh Bailey; four sisters-in-law: Patsy Hereford & Velva Howard, both of Nashville, Bertha Fagan, Cleveland, OH & Jean Herron, Rockford, IL; a host of other relatives & friends. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, October 9th from 12-1 p.m., with funeral to follow at Terrell Broady Funeral Home, Jim Hardin of Newnan, GA officiating.
