Andre Diaplo Hughes

Andre Diaplo Hughes was born on July 5, 1961 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Martha Overton and John Hughes. He departed this earthly life on Friday, August 11, 2023, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Andre gave his life to Christ as a teenager in Pegram, Tennessee. He later became a member at Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church.

Andre received his primary education in the Nashville Davidson County School System. He was married to Karen Hughes, until her passing.

Andre was employed with Wallace Walford Company for twenty-five years, until they closed. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, and shopping.

Andre was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Hughes, father, John Hughes, and aunt, Mamie Dowell.

He leaves to cherish his memories mother, Martha Overton, brothers, John E.  Hughes Jr., John A. Hughes, sisters, Isabel Hughes, Surnera Hughes, daughter, Jacqueline Phillips, aunt, Alberta Lyons, significant other, Valerie Smith, devoted friends, Shawn Fisher, Caruthers, and Gooch Families, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and dear friends.
