Alice Marie Jones

Alice Marie Jones Age 100. On Sunday night, January 4, 2015, she crossed the finish line and now she is in the care of her Master.  Born October 22, 1914 to the late Willie Kelton & Ester Hart Jones. Marie attended Robertson County School System and was a graduate of Bransford High. Aunt Marie, as she was called by most, did domestic work for over 50 years, providing services for the Gold's, Atkins and Gord Families. At the age of 74, she started attending the Robertson Co. Senior Citizen and became an excellent artist under the direction of Diane Upchurch. Sis. Jones was a longtime member of New Wells Grove Baptist Church in Barrin Plaines, TN.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Mary Jones (Twin) and Sarah Jones Wells; brothers, William, Joe and Luke Jones.  Saddened by her death, yet rejoicing in loving memories, nieces, Dreucilla (Thomas) Stewart, loving & devoted caregiver, Barbara Ann, Sarah, Shirley (Harry), Regina (Gregory), Sandra (David), Dorothy (John), Connie and Deniece; nephews, Jerry, Robert (Sara), Jack (Shirley), Billy Leroy, James (Monica) Bobby (Carolyn), Stanley (Carrie), Johnny (Kathy), James (Virginia) and William (Deborah); a host of other relatives & friends.  Visitation was 1-7 p.m. Friday, at Church of God on Leota Street, Springfield. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, New Wells Grove M.B. Church, Springfield, TN. Burial in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Cedar Hill.
